Straight From The Off welcomes Antony Bowden to the Podcast. ‘Bow’ as he is known in the footy circles of Liverpool was a mainstay in the midfield of Canada & Waterloo Dock over the years picking up plenty of silverwear along the way. Winning the English trophy for Liverpool schoolboys and representing the likes of Burnley, Shrewsbury and Accrington before turning to the amateur game. He speaks fondly of Canada legend Harold Hughes and the old school fella’s at the club that looked after the younger lads. He tells us about the disapointment of missing out on a National Cup final at Anfield on two occasions and about his favourite goals, games and all about the lads he shared a pitch with and played against throughout those times.
